Supporting the local community is incredibly important to the team. Read about the sponsorships we have made to local clubs and businesses around Worcester.
Sponsoring the community
In 2021 we supported Worcester Hockey Club’s new multi-million building by sponsoring some of the bricks they used to build the new complex. We’re proud to have a piece of Britannic Place at this new centre which will be enjoyed by local people for many years to come.
Supporting the future stars
Rugby is a sport close to Steve’s heart. In fact, in his free time, he coaches his son’s rugby team.
Britannic Place have sponsored a number of tours the team have been on over the years.
Worcester Rugby Football Club
Britannic Place are a main sponsor for Worcester Rugby Football Club, you’ll see our logo appearing on their shirts and on a billboard at their ground.
We are always looking at ways we can work with and support the local community.
The King's School Worcester
We have previously sponsored the rugby team at The King’s School Worcester (KSW), which is Steve’s old school and where his children attend now.
Steve has also sponsored a seat in the school theatre at KSW. The seats in the John Moore Theatre will be used by generations of pupils and their families in years to come.
Old Vigornians
Established in 1895, the Old Vigornian Club is the alumni association for former pupils of the King’s Foundation. All former pupils are “Old Vigornians” or “OVs”. Britannic Place sponsored the OV Reunion Dinner in Worcester Cathedral to celebrate the school’s 475th Anniversary.
Membership of the Old Vigornians Cricket Club (OVCC) is open to all and Steve has recently set up and is the team manager of the very first U13 cricket team at OVCC.
Wooden Spoon
Nunnery Wood Primary School
Britannic Place have recently contributed to help buy a defibrillator for Nunnery Wood Primary School, a local primary school.
King’s Hawford Hockey Team
Britannic Place is honoured to sponsor the King’s Hawford hockey team for the 2023/24 season.
King’s Hawford, a prestigious preparatory school for pupils aged 2 to 11, is one of three schools within The King’s Worcester Foundation of Schools.
St Richard's Hospice
We sponsored Arti Fiaz and Gareth Andrews, who is an ex-Worcestershire CCC professional cricketer, to ride from John O’Groats to Land’s End in 2018 to raise money for St Richard’s Hospice.
It’s a pleasure to be able to support such worthy challenges and causes.
