What you'll find me doing at work
I began my career as a structural engineer within the engineering consultancy industry before transitioning into financial planning. The role developed my analytical thinking and problem solving skills, which I now apply to helping support clients and their financial plans.
Since joining Britannic Place, I’ve been closely involved in many stages of the client advice process. This has included carrying out research and preparation ahead of client meetings, participating in meetings with clients, supporting the preparation of advice and recommendations, and producing the follow-up documentation and communications that support their financial plans.
I have also been involved in discovery meetings, strategy discussions, and annual review meetings, helping to build a clear understanding of clients’ goals and supporting the development of appropriate financial planning strategies. As I continue to develop in my role, I look forward to taking on greater responsibility in client meetings and, in time, advising and supporting my own clients.
Where you'll find me after work
I’m a former national swimmer with a passion for fitness and the outdoors. One of my favourite achievements from my swimming days was being part of a team of 100 swimmers that set a world record for completing the fastest ever 100×100 relay.
Outside of work, my family means everything to me and I enjoy spending as much time with them as possible. When I’m not with them or training, you’ll usually find me tackling maths puzzles, getting lost in a great book, enjoying a film or series marathon, or studying as I work towards becoming a fully qualified financial planner.
